1st chiffs since 1st jan
At least 3 chiffchaffs were singing around Galley today, although only 1 was officially "on the patch" - no sign of any other migs yet though. The lesser yellowlegs and a 1st w iceland gull were still at Rosscarbery this afternoon.

manxies
A merlin and a 1st winter iceland gull were at Galley this morning, with 2 manx shearwaters gleaned for the year in a five minute seawatch (77).

first seawatch of the year
One black guillemot, 22 manx shearwaters and 3 common scoters were seen off Galley this morning, on the first official seawatch of the year!

flogging a dead horse
Found a dead horse on the patch today but I don't suppose that will get me too many points in the patch challenge! The wintering whimbrel was still in Dirk Bay, and 2 great northern divers were offshore there.

first manxie
The long-staying lesser yellowlegs was again at Rosscarbery today, with an iceland gull also there. The first manx shearwater of the year was also seen off Galley this morning.
